From my apartment

I love Rome, you lucky bastard. I hear it's really expensive to live there, though.

Most of my expenses goes towards university (I attend La Sapienza, the University of Rome), and the rest towards my food and apartment. I don't really have much money for much else but occasionally I do buy some clothes or cds or some things that pleases me etc. It is a lively city and fun to walk through it in all weathers, even in the rain. One of my favourite past times is to just smoke some cigarettes and have a beer with a friend who lives next door to me on the balcony.

here's another one of a narrow alleyway i pass through on my way to one of my favourite cafes in the city

here's a photograph of a church that's been converted into a school. they usually have medieval fairs every once in a while or some other fairs that usually serves up pretty good food at a good price. i usually like to walk over in the hot afternoon sun, buy a few meat pies, and then walk back to my apartment and take a few cans of cold coke out of the fridge and eat the meat pies and drink the cola while watching that 70s show with the ac on full blast in the summer

dont mean to sound nostalgic but i really did love cityscapes, especially when i was a kid and just living in a small town. the photos posted were really high quality and inspiring, and was probably part of the reason why i like to travel so much today. it just fills me with a happy sadness to see beautiful architecture

I really want to go urban exploring, but I don't know anybody who would be interested. I once went to an abandoned Victorian mental asylum with a few friends, but we didn't really take any good pictures and left quite early (not that we were scared or anything...!)

Well, out of all the places the pictures of this board depict, I've only been in Vienna so far. As for the future, I really want to visit Tokyo (especially Odaiba and Shinjuku) one day.

Awesome, I want to see some abandoned buildings too, I like the old Gothic style. As for exploring it's pretty fun, just be careful, I almost got kicked out of a few places.
Down the street from the TPC building I walked into the Marriott hotel. There was a security guard at the front door so I went to the parking lot across the street and over his head over the bridge. I went into the ball rooms and acquired some free water and sodas. There was another guard on the 10th floor by the executive suites, i didn't notice him until I walked back from a dead end. Nobody caught me, I went to the 21st floor.

I want to hit up San Diego next month. If you go inside these places look around, I read some books they had in their display cases of the buildings I saw. Most are just old law books from 1890's

Another thing...

-Banks have at least 5 to 6 armed guards at the door, i would not advise walking into them
-Offices are less strict and have like 1 guy on duty
-Public offices are easy to get into
-Government (fed) buildings don't have very many guards but the insides are locked up and cameras everywhere (they are unexciting)
-Hotels are tricky, guards and staff are everywhere on the outside, once inside it's cake, except for the occasional floor guard who could catch on to you. Also peek into rooms, do not barge in before entering
